AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as a striker. She is also the captain of the San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest level of professional women's soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she was a co-captain of America's women's national soccer squad together with Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she graduated early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional with the club and assisted the team win its league championship. Morgan was 22, at the time, was the youngest player in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. She scored the match-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. She was the second player in the United States to have 20 goals and 21 assists in 2012, which makes her the youngest and sixth-highest scoring player in the country to score 20 goals in one year. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan contributed to helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was selected to the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
