Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, the American stage and screen actor and producer. Her most well-known work is as an actress in films for her roles in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She received a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer as well as an American actor who is active in theater, television and film. She began her acting career with theater, and was later featured in a number of television series and independent and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received critical acclaim but also received a host of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995 she debuted in the role of Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway show of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. She is most well-known for her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her performance as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
